Prepared for Amgen Commercial Value and Access · November 2026

Amgen's growth medicines are running into three different access barriers.

TEZSPIRE and IMDELLTRA are growing fast, and Prolia and XGEVA show what biosimilars do to a bone franchise. The number I'd want first isn't public: how many days a TEZSPIRE prior authorization takes to clear.

+42%
TEZSPIRE sales, year over year, Q2 2026
+115%
IMDELLTRA sales, year over year, Q2 2026
−33%
Prolia and XGEVA combined, year over year, Q2 2026

Sales are moving in both directions, and each medicine faces a different access barrier.

Sales change, Q2 2026 vs Q2 2025, on one shared scale. Barriers from a sample of 4 payer policies and 1 Amgen posting, checked Nov 2, 2026. Amgen doesn't disclose EVENITY sales separately.

Three barriers, three moves, each aimed at a specific line in a payer's own policy.

It's the job I did running Aidoc's NTAP reimbursement rollout to more than 40 hospital customers: find the exact line in a payer's written policy that keeps an approved product from its patient, then build what moves that line.

  1. TEZSPIRE
Measuredays from prescription to PA approval

Turn prior authorization into a pre-filled form

Every PA form asks for the same few facts: prior controller therapies, exacerbation history, eosinophil counts.

First move. Map the 5 to 10 highest-volume payer policies by the fields each one asks for, then build the submission tool on that shared field set.

  2. EVENITY
Measureoverride approvals at the sampled plans

Build the step-therapy override case while exclusivity holds

Prolia and XGEVA just showed what biosimilars do to a bone franchise. EVENITY is next in line.

First move. A payer-by-payer evidence package tied to each plan's own bisphosphonate-intolerance criteria, ready before a provider hits the denial.

  3. IMDELLTRA
    Measurevalue messages accepted, by market

Track which payer value messages land as the indication expands

Amgen's own posting describes value messages being tested with payers across the US, Europe, Canada, Japan and Asia-Pacific.

First move. A shared record of which value messages each payer accepted or pushed back on, market by market, as the expansion evidence arrives.
